TEACHING
Joshua McPherson trained at the Florence Academy of Art, one of the world's foremost schools of classical realist painting. He also stayed on to teach Cast & Figure Drawing and Painting for several years after completing his studies. Joshua began his formal training at the Julian Ashton Art School, where he later taught Fundamentals of Life Drawing. He has taught continuously in Sydney since 2012. His teaching follows the atelier tradition: sustained observation, rigorous drawing, and the disciplined craft of oil painting.
